About Christina
I’m Christina, Graphic designer from Oceanside, now living in Orange CA, and no stranger to a coffee shop. Getting out of the house to read and write energizes me. The joy of a 2-hour creative date is what I want to share with everyone.
If all it took was 2 hours to transform your life, would you?
Every week has 168 hours. A simple 2-hour creative work date is only 1% of a week. And yet that 1% is the most transformative to my life. That’s why I started Loiterature, to help other creatives enjoy the same transformative energy I have found.
In 2025, I started my first read of The Artist’s Way. As a natural sceptic, I expect nothing in my life to change. I was not ready for the transformation I was going to undertake, which in part led me to the creation of this blog.
I started to go to cafes as a part of my Artist’s Way homework. I would grab a great coffee, find a nice spot, and settle in to do silent work. I started to notice a positive effect on my life after only a few weeks. I felt happier, I accomplished more, and I was walking more, too. For less than $10 I could go do something that would give me so much personal joy.
I hope every one is able to find two hours to go and enjoy something they love to do, whether it’s drawing, reading, writing, or some other avenue, two hours is all it takes to transform the week.
