Atmosphere:
Philz is such the vibe. Located in Old Towne Orange, this little cute shop is a favorite for my husband and me.
Despite being a chain, it always has a local feel to it. I have been to a few, and they all capture that local coffee shop vibe. Such as having local art on the walls. A community pinboard for ads. board games to borrow and play.
Seating:
Good seating. Several 2-person tables, short height bar seating, and a large community table. Although it is always packed with a line out the door on the weekends, we get lucky and always find a spot to sit. In the last 4 years, I have never not gotten a spot to sit. Most people grab their coffee to go. With the amazing Orange Circle area to explore, I don’t blame them!

Music & Noise:
Bring headphones: It can get loud on the weekends due to it being a high-traffic store. I normally wear headphones to cut some of the noise out, as it can get to be a bit distracting at times. But I love this spot so it is not a huge issue to me.
Menu Highlights:
I love the mint mojito iced Coffee. It has a mint sprig in it that delights the eyes. My husband always gets the seasonal drink. He says they are all great, so you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Parking:
Parking is hard to find. Don’t even try parking in the tiny lot in front. Local tip: Use the parking structure. Down a few blocks, you can use the orange parking structure and walk from there to the store. Not worth wasting time trying to park anywhere downtown. The walk isn’t that far.
2-Hour Test:
I can (and have) worked here many times for hours and hours, reading and writing. It is a favorite local spot for me and my husband.
